The SST / DCT470 Clutch Upgrade Service Includes:
We very highly recommend that your SST has any issues, that you opt for the full repair service instead. That service addresses all issues with the SST. Plus with our full service, you have the option of clutch upgrades and also includes a full 14 month warranty! If we perform the clutch upgrades only, the transmission could fail again in short time due to other weak links in the unit which have not been addressed.
The best way to explain: when upgrading the clutches 'only' we are not touching the transmission portion of the SST. The SST has a clutch section and a transmission section all in one case. When you replace the clutches, you are not touching the transmission area of the unit. That is the same as taking your manual transmission vehicle to a clutch shop and having them replace just the clutch. They are not servicing the transmission, only replacing your clutch. They will not warranty your transmission for a clutch replacement service, and neither will we for the SST. Please keep this in mind when choosing just a clutch upgrade service.

|Technical Info||<h3>Additional Information :</h3> <ul> <li>If someone uses anything other than the factory DCT fluid from Mitsubishi in the trans (or an approved DCT fluid), the protective gel inside the trans valve-body (mechatronic assembly) could become damaged and conductive. This will cause a series of odd issues within the transmission as the TCU will not be able to operate properly. If your valve body is bad, it will need to be replaced as we have been unable to find a way to replace the gel at this time.</li> <li>The clutch damper can become damaged due to many reasons. Lately we have seen so many worn and damaged dampers that it has become a bit of an epidemic here. 99 out of every 100 SST units we see have broken or weak springs in the damper. If yours has broken springs, do not fret as we offer a rebuild / upgrade over the OEM damper assembly! We have spent a lot of time in R&D and have developed a much more reliable spring setup which is stronger and will outlast the OEM dampers. This service is available for an additional charge.</li> <li>Although not required, we recommend installing a transmission cooler with any upgraded clutch pack.</li> </ul> <p>We go above and beyond to ensure your transmission will perform better than new.
