EVO 8 & 9 Transfer Case Rebuild. This is for ACD and NON-ACD.

The difference between the Stage 1 and this Stage 2 build is this one includes the Jacks Trans spec ring and pinion gear-set and a bolt upgrade for more power capability.

This rebuild includes:

  • Jacks Trans spec ring and pinion gear-set
  • Bearings
  • Upgrading the case bolts from 8MM to 10MM to prevent case and gear breakage
  • Tighter bearing preloads
  • New seals and o-rings (excludes ACD piston seals)
  • Complete tear down and cleaning using state-of-the-art equipment HERE
  • Modifications to help the stock front diff (located inside the transfer case) to live longer with more power. 
  • ACD unit tested under pressure to assure no leaks or fluid mixing
  • New ACD seals (piston and hub) are available, if needed. (additional charge)

Please note that if your T-Case is making whining noises then the ring and pinion gears are wiped out. Don't worry!  This rebuild will take care of that issue.


WPC is a permanent surface treatment that reduces friction while strengthening the part. Its unique micro-dimple formation pattern greatly reduces friction and is unmatched by conventional methods of surface treatment. It is a proven process that has been utilized for many years in the racing and automotive industry and is complimented by utilizing our REM/ISF treatment. WPC can strengthen parts in two ways. First it adds an extremely high level of compressive stress at, and near, the surface. The second, is that the WPC treatment creates a Nano - Crystalline structure at the surface of the metal. Both of these mean that metal fatigue and crack initiation are both noticeably reduced; thus strengthening the gears and shafts inside of the transmission.


REM / ISF is a gentle polish on the gears done by machine that will smooth and remove some stress concentrations uniformly. It also polishes the gears in the area they make contact with other parts, so you have less friction loss which means less heat, better fuel economy, and longer life.

This rebuild has been known to work in cars with enough power to squeeze into the 10s, but we recommend it for cars no faster than 11s in the 1/4 mile.  The reason for this is due to the weak front diff inside the t-case.  If you do not upgrade this diff, there is a risk it can break when you put a good amount of power and shockload through the unit.  The rest of the unit can handle the power just fine, it's the front diff which is the weak link.  We highly recommend that you upgrade the diff if you are going to be serious about putting a good amount of power through it.

If you want this t-case to go as fast as 9s in the 1/4 mile with no issues, please select the LSD diff you prefer in the options menu above. The Wavetrac diff is the strongest unit you can buy for the EVO t-case and is a part you will never have to worry about breaking.  The unit also has an added cam inside to allow for LSD action even in a straight line!

With the best cleaning equipment, we also have a very clean facility.  All units are built in a spotless environment and using tools, and benches, which are clean and only used for assembly purposes.  In other words, the same tools used to pull your dirty old t-case out of your car are NOT the same tools used to rebuild your pristine unit afterward. Take a look at the typical shop and check their tools.  It is shocking how dirty things are in most shops and that dirt will end up in your unit.  That doesn't happen here. 

Your unit is also shipped in a double walled custom made box for Jacks Transmissions.  Your unit will be sitting snugly, and safely, in preformed foam pads to assure a trouble free delivery.
