This is the best helical / synchronized transmission we offer for high power Road Race applications. This trans is very strong, but friendly in that you can race at the track and drive it to work the next day. This trans is assembled with the highest quality materials and workmanship possible to assure a unit which works as intended and will live. It will shift beautifully, and operate quietly.
All machine work and modifications to the trans are performed in-house using state-of-the-art equipment and techniques. We do not farm anything out and control every part of the rebuild process here.

WPC GEAR TREATMENT
WPC is a permanent surface treatment that reduces friction while strengthening the part. Its unique micro-dimple formation pattern greatly reduces friction and is unmatched by conventional methods of surface treatment. It is a proven process that has been utilized for many years in the racing and automotive industry and is complimented by utilizing our REM/ISF treatment. WPC can strengthen parts in two ways. First it adds an extremely high level of compressive stress at, and near, the surface. The second, is that the WPC treatment creates a Nano - Crystalline structure at the surface of the metal. Both of these mean that metal fatigue and crack initiation are both noticeably reduced; thus strengthening the gears and shafts inside of the transmission.
REM ISF MICROPOLISH
REM / ISF is a gentle polish on the gears done by machine that will smooth and remove some stress concentrations uniformly. It also polishes the gears in the area they make contact with other parts, so you have less friction loss which means less heat, better fuel economy, and longer life.
Heavily worn or damaged units
Please note- any additional parts needed which are not listed below and not part of this build will cost extra to replace. We will email with pictures and detailed information if this is the case. We know you do not like surprises, so we try to make this process as painless as possible. If this turns out to be the case, please note that it is due to the fact that we want you to have the highest quality trans possible. Again, quality is the key here and sometimes it costs more to do this in an aging platform. It is not worth the risk of using a sub-par part if inspection reveals it is a weak link.

Jacks Trans machined EVOIII double synchro taller 1st gear upgrade, with removed lip, to allow for longer synchro life.
Jacks Trans machined double synchro 2nd gear upgrade, with removed lip, to allow for longer synchro life. Please note that this gear is NOT the same as the double synchro 2nd found in the 2G. Our gear is designed with more room for synchro wear and a more precise fit.

Tapered roller bearings on each end of the Intermediate and Input Shafts. It is becoming more common, now that these units are aging, to see intermediate shaft bearing failures. We replace them in every rebuild to assure reliability.We also reset bearing preloads to our specs for maximum bearing and gear life.

No Additional Cost: 2-Spider Diff with Torrington Bearing Upgrade or Welded Center Diff. The 2-spider center diff is weaker than the welded diff, but is easier to drive on. Welding the center diff makes it the strongest part in the transmission and raises the HP capability.

Parts cleaned using industrial parts washers and bead blaster. Exceptionally clean units is one of the reasons why our transmissions are the highest quality in the business! We have state-of-the-art cleaning equipment which other trans builders could only dream of. More info HERE
With the best cleaning equipment, we also have a very clean facility. All units are built in a spotless environment and using tools, and benches, which are clean and only used for assembly purposes. In other words, the same tools used to pull your dirty old trans out of your car are NOT the same tools used to rebuild your pristine unit afterward. Take a look at the typical shop and check their tools. It is shocking how dirty things are in most shops and that dirt will end up in your unit. That doesn't happen here.
Your unit is also shipped in a double walled custom made box for Jacks Transmissions. Your unit will be sitting snugly, and safely, in preformed foam pads to assure trouble free delivery.
